Profile

Every voice comes from somewhere. Hers comes from two worlds.

From Caracas to Seattle — in her own words.

Elimar Ugueto laughing at the microphone in her studio
“In the booth I don't read the script. I live it.” — Elimar, in her Seattle studio.

I was born in Caracas, with roots in the mountains of Táchira — where stories are told out loud, over coffee, with your whole body. That's where my ear was trained, long before any studio: on the music of Venezuelan Spanish, on voices that make you lean in.

I started on camera in 1998, at 16, as a TV host in Venezuela. In 2002 the United States became home; years later came Telemundo, Univision and ESPN Deportes, and life between two languages slowly turned into a craft — market by market, campaign by campaign.

“I don't switch languages. I switch worlds — and I take your audience with me.”

Two decades between cultures made me bilingual not only in language but in feeling. I know what makes a line land in Caracas and what makes it land in Chicago; when “warm” means cercana and when it means professional.

Neutral Latin American Spanish for the whole region. Venezuelan, Mexican, Colombian, Cuban or Castilian when your market needs precision. And when a brand wants it, English with my natural Latin accent — something many clients look for on purpose.

Phone Hacking

I don't just voice the story — I can lead it. I wrote, directed and produced this documentary on phone hacking, and it went on to win international awards. Before that I was executive producer of “Zona de Strike” on ESPN Deportes Seattle and co-produced radio and TV commercials.

FAQ

Good questions, straight answers.

How fast can you deliver?

Many short projects are delivered in under 2 hours. Longer projects get a delivery date in the quote, and rush delivery can be requested.

How much does a Spanish voice over cost?

I quote following the GVAA Rate Guide, the industry standard. Price depends on usage, market and term — see the typical ranges in Rates above. Send me your script and you'll usually have an exact quote the same day.

What's your revision policy?

One revision is included. Any mistake of mine — a mispronunciation or a missing word — is fixed free, and one round of feedback on pacing or tone is free too. Script changes after recording are billed as pick-ups.

Can you do live directed sessions?

Yes. You can direct the session live via Source-Connect, Microsoft Teams, Skype or the platform you prefer.

Which Spanish accents do you record?

Neutral Latin American Spanish, plus Venezuelan, Mexican, Colombian, Cuban and Castilian (Spain). I also record English with a natural Latin accent.

What studio and file formats do you use?

A professional home studio with a Universal Audio Apollo Twin X, a Townsend Labs Sphere L22 microphone and Adobe Audition. You get clean, edited, broadcast-quality WAV or MP3 files, split by line on request.

Can you translate my script into Spanish?

Yes. I adapt English scripts into natural Spanish, keeping tone, timing and cultural nuance. I can also review Spanish content your team already has — translations, ads, websites — to make sure the meaning is right and it sounds natural. Quoted separately from the recording.

Can you lead a full Spanish-language campaign?

Yes. Beyond the voice, I can guide the whole Spanish side of a campaign: adapting the script, choosing the right tone and accent, casting and directing other voices, and overseeing production so the final piece feels native, not translated. I've worked as a producer, so I speak both the creative and the production language.

How do I get started?

Email Elimar@ElimarUgueto.com with your script or word count, where it will run, the market and term, the accent you need and your deadline. I reply personally, usually the same day.
